“The starting point for my work is memory and emotions. In this series I am using buildings whose significance works on both the levels of personal and social memories… More often, those memories are a flash in my mind, like broken fragments.  In my paintings I need to repair those memories piece by piece.  Only then can I put them back together again.  This process of repair necessitates a sort of detached attitude”.
