Artist Statement:

In my view art is not merely a representation of the surface of things but the higher reality latent within. It is a creative process that not only expresses what is inherent in this phenomenal world but the inner self of an artist as well. Art shows the strengths of the imaginative mind, the flexibility of attitudes and the enlightenment of the soul.

In my works the movement of forms reflect energy. Lines, in a composite manner, give life to the inanimate canvas. The merging and emerging of lines present the interplay of composition – interesting and delicate. A plain surface with simple and sober colours reflects light. The light that – calm and cool; with its complete strength – creates a mystical ambience. This very light dissipates the darkness only to assimilate the purity within.

Space has a close and intimate association with the forms and offers a cozy home where they can delicately perch in an all-encompassing off-white, grey and ochre setting. Together with a spontaneous and rhythmic composition these spaces create a sense of peace within the viewer.
